I had no idea going into this book that I’d love it as much as I did and I was really pleasantly surprised by it! It made for a really quick (it was only 249 pages) and enjoyable read. It was so easy to follow along with and kept me intrigued throughout. To top it off, the characters were also wickedly funny, which is always one of the best qualities a book can have 😂 Funny characters are the easiest way to get me to love a book!
There’s something about the dynamic between the female MC in this book being a teacher and the male MC being a businessman that really got me, especially because he wasn’t some cocky, overbearing rich man. He was this sweet and thoughtful (and insistent and determined 😂) man who just wanted to win over the girl he likes. (And mind you, he was good at it). I really loved that about him.
Not to mention, Kira was such a sweet and awesome female MC. I love how she loved her friends but knew when they were taking it too far. I also love that she felt so real and down-to-earth. Also, again, the fact that she’s a teacher somehow made me like her more. It meant she lived a very simple lifestyle and the way that fit in with Rich’s made the whole plot even more fun!
Speaking of Rich’s life… it’s full of drama, to say the least 😂 But I wouldn’t have had it any other way, because then there would’ve been no plot. I freaking love his brothers, for starters—they’re both so hilarious and make the perfect duo! And I don’t want to say too much without spoiling, but let me just say that the ending to this book?? It felt good. It felt REALLY freaking good and it was so satisfying 😂 I was grinning through the whole thing and damn it if I wasn’t having the time of my life reading it.
Knowing the next two books are about Cade and then Nick makes me SO excited to read them 😍 I absolutely loved their characters in this book and I’m so glad they each get their own stories and romances—which were clearly hinted at in this book too 😏 I like that this book laid out all the groundwork and made it quite obvious who they’re going to be with, because now it makes me even more curious as to how they’re going to get there!
