This book was the single best things I’ve read in a long time. Or so it feels that way. I can’t even explain how once I started this book, I DID NOT want to put it down for anything. And in theory, I didn’t. I inhaled every single page. I went in thinking “oh, I’ll just read a chapter for now” and then went on to read until past midnight 😂 It was such an addictive read in so many different ways.
I loved the fact that we get to see a family relationship in this book. We get to see a mother and father interacting with their two young daughters, as well as with each other. The family dynamic that it adds to the story is precious and I want to see it in more books. I can’t remember the last time I picked up a book with that kind of relationship present. And it was portrayed in such a tender light that I couldn’t help but crave more of it.
Once of my favourite things about this book is that it so clearly shows a vulnerability in men that not a lot of romance books seem properly divulge into. It made it so endearing to read. I always look for that in books and I was so pleased at how much it stood out to me in this one.
I don’t know where or how Lyssa Kay Adams came up with the idea for this story, but I’m FOREVER GRATEFUL that she did because I didn’t know my life was incomplete without this book until I read it 😭💖😍 I feel like rereading it over and over until I’ve got every single word memorised, because this book feels so necessary. It’s like a guide to being in a healthy relationship 🤔
I can say right now that I’m going to make my future husband read this. HE HAS TO. It felt like getting a lot of good relationship advice in such an amusing way. I laughed out loud more times than I can count and I was probably grinning to myself for the better part of this book! It was full of romance, while also being full of lighthearted humour. It was phenomenal.
I’m literally dying for the second book, like it’s not even funny 😭 I HAVE SUCH A BAD BOOK HANGOVER BECAUSE OF THIS BOOK AND THE ONLY POSSIBLE CURE IS READING THE SECOND BOOK! Especially since it involves one of the other boys in the Bromance Book Club 😏 And the sister of the female MC who we saw quite a lot of in this book!
